Welcome to my blog

I thought that being 31 would help me to overcome peer pressure. That is incorrect. I have been pressured by friends and family to start a blog, so here it is.

I'm still not 100% sure what I'm supposed to write about. I am a stay at home Mommy living in Altus, Oklahoma. While I find my life out here in timbuck two to be exciting, I'm not sure others will. With that said, I have decided to write about what I love, food, family, and friends. Hence the title of the blog.

So lets start off with food. I love food, I love to eat food, I love to cook food, I love to talk about food. I even like to read about food, my bookshelf is stocked with cookbooks and cooking magazines. And even as we speak, I'm eating a homeade chocolate chip cookie. Well it'snot exactly a chocolate chip cookie. I didn't have chocolate chips so I replaced them with Easter M&M's. And I didn't have enough of them, so I added craisons to the batter. So I guess you would say, I'm eating a M&M craison cookie. Regardless, I love food.

Onto my next favorite thing, my Family. I have a wonderful husband, Lewis, who I have been married to for 6 years this September. I love him more and more every day, and he has given me the greatest gifts in the world, my two beautiful daughters, Eva (2) and Violet (7months). Hmm , I'm not sure if he have gave them to me, or I gave them to him. Regardless, love them all to pieces.

I also have lots and lots of extended family ( I am one of four, and Lew is one of 8), that you will hear about from time to time. Probabley starting tomorrow, because my parents are coming into town. They are helping me with girls over the next few days while my husband is busy planning an air show for work. Oh, did I mention that he is a KC-135 Air Force Pilot? That should explain why we are living in Altus, Oklahoma after moving from Bury St Edmunds, England!

Onto my next favorite thing, Friends. I can't say that I have tons of friends, but I have really good friends that play a huge role in my life. Friends that cross over the friendship line to family line.

They always provide lots of laughs, so stay tuned.

  1. Hi Tara,

Loved your Blog! This is the second time I read it. I showed it to Thea and now she is hungry and it is 9:00 P.M.
The "sister's" picture was so cute and Lew and Violet made us smile, with their perfect smiles.
    Love,
    Mom and Thea
